Recommended for fans op Romantic Suspense.Īn Eye for an Eye is my first Irene Hannon read, and it definitely won’t be my last. I enjoyed the lessons in this book as well - Mark to let go and let God in, and Emily to overcome her fears and live life fully. ![]() It was a sweet build up and because of the past between Emily and Mark, the speed made sense. ![]() Both twisted their beliefs to argue what they are doing is right. The killer in this book reminded me to the one in Abomination in Colleen Coble's Rock harbor series. I've come to enjoy this as the motive is only revealed later and she does a great job of taking her readers through disliking the bad guy to hating and even to feeling compassion as in this case. Irene always reveal the killer/culprit early in her books. I enjoyed reading all the clues and following the evidence with Mark and Coop and enjoyed when suddenly everything made sense. I loved the way the suspense started, with 1 shooter, 2 possible victims and no clear way to know who was the target. ![]() From page one this romantic suspense kept me turning pages and on the edge of the seat to find out what was going on. ![]() ![]() ![]()

![]() ![]() Let's say the climax of bonus chapter slapped my mind. It's all in Japanese but you are still able to follow the main plot through the imagery alone, and the entire thing has been translated online. ![]() The art is dynamic, engaging, emotive, striking and full of action It's a great resource to study. The fifth star on Volume 1 is due to author's effectively using bonus chapter at the end of the book. I cannot praise this series enough, Taiyo Matsumoto is a genius and this is his BEST work to date. The strength of this manga is the stylish execution of the story. The first three volumes are for character introductions and slice-of-life theme in Edo period. ![]() The main story itself is simple for me, but the author only revealed the main plot on Volume 4. Except the bonus chapter, but I will get to there. The first volume is focusing in fighting/killing intentions, not showing real swords clashing. Unlike majority in samurai theme mangas that trying to grab reader's attention by full action scenes, this manga patiently gives some story foundation as primary objective, and put the short term actions as secondary. Here and there I found some poetic dialogue and quoting ancient philosophy sayings. Taiy Matsumoto ( Matsumoto Taiy, born 1967) is an influential manga artist. The art is blending classic Japanese painting style with newer style. The arts is unique and could be perceived as weird by some readers. ![]() ![]() live under condominium or homeowners associations, and relationships in the governance of these associations can be intense and bitter.īullying in the residential community restricts a victim’s rights as a tenant and citizen and is therefore a civil rights and human rights violation. I would go further and say that John is the most realistic character to have a long-term starring role in a mainstream comic, but then, maybe my biases are showing. But he gets by, and does what he has to, or at least what he can. In the first issue, way back in 1988, penned by Jamie Delano and under the quintessential pen of John Ridgeway, John is already running from dead friends and lovers, past mistakes, his own impotence against the unleashed demon. But then, he always was, which is probably the point. It also recently turned 100, which is pretty scary all on its own, if you ask me. At its best, Hellblazer - a comic in DC's Vertigo imprint for its rogue pack of mostly-British horror and dark fantasy writers - is smart, literate and scary. ![]() ![]() ![]() The Pythagorean ethic stands in contradiction to the current ideals. He, like Saint Francis, is claimed to have preached to animals. Whatever comes into existence should treat all things taken with life in them as kindred. Second, whatever comes into existence is born again in the revolutions of an inevitable cycle, nothing being new. According to Pythagoras, first, the soul is an immortal thing that transforms into other kinds of living things. Men and women were accepted on equal terms in the community he formed, and the genders owned the property in common along with a standard set of rules to live life. The locals eventually turned against him, and he relocated to a town in southern Italy, where he died. He established a disciplined society (“society of disciplines”) in Croton, which was prominent for a brief period. His time promoted mathematics to have a profound and disastrous impact on philosophy. Pythagoras was one of the most significant individuals who ever lived. His work is divided into three sections: ancient philosophy, Catholic philosophy, and current philosophy. It is a dazzlingly unique examination of the ideologies of critical philosophers throughout history, from Plato and Aristotle through Kant and the twentieth century. It is regarded as one of the most significant philosophical works of all time. ![]() ![]() ![]() Bertrand Russell’s book provides a comprehensive insight into the history of western philosophy. ![]() |
